I'm resurrecting this necro-thread to see if anyone has experience with the workshops. They have one in LA in May and I'm contemplating going.

I went to one because my friends were going. I wasn't sure if it was worth the money. I ended up walking out of the "First Page Critique-Fest" with an invitation to query an agent on the panel (who then requested the full manuscript.)

I'll fully admit to having a daydream that went something like that. So, yes, very cool.

Here's hoping she thinks the rest of the manuscript holds up to my query and first page.
