:Wha: Tunnel vision---Does anyone that writes crime books find that since you know the who, what and when that you find you 'rush' to get it all said and then have to go back and do all the fill in? I hate books with all the extra 'fluff' stuff. I guess it's because I live in a world that is so fast paced that it's hard for me to stop and smell some roses along the way. How do you pull back and do the proper fill in? I understand that this is what makes a writer and the ones that do it well are good writers. (now we know that I'm not a good writer)

I have two major crimes going on in my book and they have fit ok. But my editor has pointed out that I need to get out of the tunnel. Oh please tell me there's a light at the end. :Sun:Thanks ahead for any insight you may share....

Who was it that said, "Divinity is in the detail"?

Yes, I have a tendency to rush, too. However, I've learned to enjoy world-building with regard to setting and description. I guess fo people like us, description is an acquired taste. :)
