I put all three cats in my room when I heard a mouse gnawing on something. The cats just sat there listening to it. Then the black one got up on the bed and went to sleep and the other two started playing and wrestling with each other.

We had a mouse. Our useless cat thought it was the greatest play toy ever. Would pick it up and run around with it. Then let it go to escape. She promptly returned to playing with the sock she stole.
