My book...

OK, I didn't want to talk about the release much, but it's now official, and ahead of schedule! My novel, The Pacific Between (ISBN: 1-933016-32-9), are ready to be ordered and shipped. According to Amazon.com, it will be shipped within 24 hours. Whee!

Some of my area stores are/will be stocking them: Joseph-Beth, BN and Borders -- those are the three I know of.

I'm so psyched!

Congrats. Seeing a book in a store is a kind of magic you thought you wouldn't ever feel again as a grown up.

One superstition I read that John Grisham has (or had it could be different now, this was just as he was hitting it big and doing interviews) is the first time he saw his book on a shelf, he bought a copy because he felt it freed any log jam of people wanting to buy it, he knew he'd made a sale and because if it wasn't worth full price to him, he couldn't expect anyone else to pay full price. I always do it. So far, Grisham's success remains elusive, but still...

Wahoo! I'm waitin' for my copy. As I told you I pre-ordered it at my local bookstore. They haven't called to say they can't get it, so I am assuming that means they can. The phone call I get should mean they've got it.

I plan to do that, too. Also, I'd do the drive-by signing as well. I've told my friends to go in and grab a book when they can.

If they see there are steady sales, they might be inclined to stock more.

I'm only aware of the three states, but I think they're expanding to the South, like Kansas or something. Not too sure.
