I've always dreamed of the complete OED, but since I don't have the scratch for that kind of purchase, I was considering the OSED. It's about $175. I have Webster's Dictionary, but was considering adding this to the fold. Is it worth it?

$295 a year! Ouch. Of the two, I'd have to go with the paper OSED.

I love mine. You can get it on Amazon for $110.

The SOED is certainly worth having (I wouldn't be without mine). You might also look for The Compact Oxford English Dictionary (microform, with magnifying glass). There are two editions, 1971 & 1991. Copies are advertised on AbeBooks.com beginning at about $150--though shipping would likely be expensive.
