Something I actually know the answer to. In Word go to 'format', choose 'font' and it gives you the option of lining through the text you have highlighted. At the same time you can change the font and the color if you wish. When I am editing I highlight the text, go to format/font, and then do all three. Change the font, the color and line through.

Um... is it Word2007? Your icons will say Microsoft Office Word 2007 (or Microsoft Word 2003) Or if it's older, just Microsoft Word. Vista means nothing in relation to what copy of Word you have. That's be like asking me what year Cavalier I have and I answer "Chevrolet." =)

If it's Word2007, there is no Format Menu. Go to the Home Ribbon.

In the Font Group, next to the U with a line under it is Strikethrough. Looks like abc with a line through it. This puts a line through the highlighted text. (In the corner of the Font Group, there is a little blue arrow. This opens the dialogue box that the old Format--> Font command would bring up.)

One of these two should get you what you're looking for-- which is called Strikethrough. I like Double-Strikethrough the best.
