This is my first time doing this. I am really looking forward to it.
Give: I like writing urban fantasy/sci fi. I like to keep it light-hearted and fun, no gratuitous sex or gore.
Receive: A woman orders what she thinks is a lovely piece of home décor on eBay but it turns out to be a dragon egg and it just started to hatch.
MORE PARTCIPANTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
MORE PARTCIPANTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I did some maths! Because numbers are fun.
By my count, we have 14 new people who didn't play last year but are in this year. (Welcome, y'all, if you haven't played before, you're in for good times!)
There are 17 people from last year who have not yet signed up. You know who you are *coughCobracough*
So, potentially, we could absolutely destroy our count from last year considering we only need four more to tie it. *coughThreeifCobragetshisnameincough* Man I am so sorry, I think I have something in my throat.
I do wonder how you prove you're a serious buyer?
Hiya...
I've never done this before Hope I do it right...
Um. So. Both I suppose?
Giving: Anything really, but I lean ridiculous; I do better when tinged with ridiculous I think.
Receiving Prompt: Give me a story in which a loom features prominently as an obstacle, an antagonist, or a primary instrument of the antagonist. "Loom" can be interpreted broadly and can make things other than cloth if you like, as long as it's still loomy enough to be called a loom. The loom can also switch sides if you want at some point in the story, as long as it is used somewhere, and affectingly, for villainy, or general obstruction to the protagonist's goal.
