Good Morning, Cantina!!
I do this. It helps when I have an idea of what I want but need MOAR Cleverer Wordz.
Congrats!!
I have tried various pantsing and outlining techniques over time. I'm an organized pantser, it seems. I'm totally pantsing my current WIP, but I'm grouping it by scene in Scrivener so that when it's revising time, it will be so much easier. If I overthink my WIP, then it flops.
I think I may have found the technique that will get my first completed WIP EVAH!

Related, I did the math on my UF crime story. In order to complete it this year AND before NaNo 2012, I have to write 300 words a day on the story. That's completely doable and makes it seem easy even.
This morning I was able to crank out my words evening with the kids running around. Yay!!
I do things like that. Mine run more along the lines of "He looked at the woman and admired her{SAY SOMETHING NICE ABOUT HER LEGS} before approaching her and...." Then I just have to remember to go back through and replace all the bracketed notes.

Wholey crap, y'all! I just got an acceptance on a short story for an anthology.

Poll: who in here are outliners and who are pantsers? Give reasons why.
