Book-To-Film Agents: What do I need to know?

At the moment, I have two book-to-film agents interested in my MS. I'm trying to wrap my head around what this means, because I don't actually have a publishing contract! My incredible literary agent just sent the MS on submission yesterday. I wasn't expecting to think about film rights just yet, so I'm curious as to how this all works, and how negotiating film rights will affect a potential publishing contract and vice versa. My questions to all of you are:

Has anyone been in a similar situation, and how did you handle it?

What do I need to know and/or ask each agent?

How will having a film agent affect potential publishing contracts?

Any information and advice would be greatly appreciated. My head is spinning...
