and there it was...a turkey...walking right in the middle of my lane on a busy street

and so i stops my car and i'm like 'hey, turkey. you should NOT be here'. and the turkey was like, 'GAH!'

why don't turkeys ever listen.

seriously...right in the middle of a busy street, just walking. some turkeys! the nerve.

but i had a guitar and a golf bag in the back seat. sure, i could have hit the turkey with a club...but i didn't want these assorted backseat things to get all bloodied. i just wanted him to listen to reason.

I was scooting it across the road...I looked him right in the eye. Cute is only excusable when you're not as dumb as a salt lick. When he didn't move when I said, "please get out of the way." I knew I had a problem on my hands. When I waved my hand in his face and said, "Hello! Is there anybody in there? Are you even listening to me?" and he just said, "GAH!" I knew it was going to be a long day. Yes...I saw him close up.

that, and christmas would be a mardi gras in aisle 3...if that's where the turkey happened to be shopping. i could see it now...the mob mentality of the target shoppers, out for blood. turkey blood, that is.
