Band of Brothers is moving to Spike TV come Labor day

For those of you who didn't have HBO a few years ago, Band of Brothers is arguably the best series on war ever filmed.

The acting, storyline, writing, directing, etc. etc. is absolutely superb.

SPIKE TV is promoting it that they will be showing the series starting Labor Day.

If you have not seen this series, you are missing out.

HBO has some of the best series ever.

In fact, for general discussion, anyone have any insight into how HBO is able to make such superior programming year after year after year.

As for Band of Brothers, what's your take?

Thanks for this. I had access to the DVDs at one point but couldn't get into it then. I want to try again - and this should do it, although I suppose I might want to get the DVDs again so I can hear all the angry language intact as it should be. ;)

Hmmm, I'm not sure if SpikeTV has HD, but History channel does, and it was great in HD.

Band of Brothers is my all time FAVORITE war series of ALL TIME.

Now, I just want those production/acting/writing/effect values and slap it onto a Harry Turtledove book.

I mean, imagine Band of Brothers...versus aliens.

It would be *AWESOME*.
