salad dressing

I'm wondering what is the right amount of salad dressing?
Like you want the sauce to complement the vegetables, not to overwhelmn them.

Let's say for two or four portions, what would be the right amount?

I'm thinking Italian or ranch dressing...

It depends on the strength of the dressing... Easiest is to mix it in a large bowl and add a bit of dressing at a time... There is usually a fair amount of leeway.

I think you can start with the idea of a tablespoon per serving.

But I would never just dump it on top... definitely add gradually to taste.
