I'm new to chat rooms and was looking for someone that is also a newbie writer or a published writer to give me a boost or advice.

Thanks so much, I'm really a newbie when it comes to both writing and chat rooms. I've started writing a romance, we were adviced to start with something that we wouldn't put our heart and soul into at the Write Compan, but I'm 2000 words in and I just can't get into it. I've written a couple of short stories and really enjoyed doing those, though I'm not sure how good they are.

Bye Tom, got to go have to make supper for the hubbie and kids, its 5pm here. I had a look at your site and was impressed, I love that old style thriller genre. We don't get much of that here in South Africa although there are many great well stocked bookstores. I'm also a bibliophile and read everything I can get my hands on... excluding Mills and Boons

Hi Mia, right back at you. I've been writing short stories for so long now, it's hard to get back in the swing of novel length writing at times. I'm glad you liked my site, by the way. I have another novel due out soon, plus two anthologies with other writers, and a thick book of my short stories. So I stay busy. If you'd like, you can always take our talk to Private Messages. It's up to you. You can tell me what you're writing, etc. If I don't answer right away, it just means I'm busy or something, and haven't checked the AW lately.

Under your Avatar - or name (where it says, "Esteemed New Member"), if you'll click on the name (not yours, but mine or whoever you wish to send a PM to, and a block will drop down. In one of those blocks it will say "Send "so-and-so a private message" That's all you have to do. Just click there and it'll let you send them a private message. There's probably other ways, too, but I'm new on the board myself, and still learning the ropes.
