I was wondering who else from here has joined the Ultimate Blog Party. With over 1,000 participants it's going to be nearly impossible to read all of the blogs and it'd be nice to hit as many "friendly faces" as possible!

I had never heard of it, but it looks interesting. I'll browse around a bit more tonight and maybe get something up - it does sound like fun!

I joined. Being new to blogging I didn't really feel ready, but decided to jump in anyway. I'm only doing it on one blog, and my initial post was kind of lame, so I'll be partying all week.

You sure? This is on their What's Going On Here? page:

If you're right, it seems sort of counterproductive, since stay-at-home dads might have stuff to add, too.

I have my parenting blog listed on the party. I've have a lot of fun reading some of the other bloggers on the list, but there's no way I'll make all 1000+ this week!

I agree, there's no way in the world I have time to read over 1200 blogs this week! I'm just picking some at random each time I sit down at the computer. I have links to some that I've visited on my blog.

On their main page, regarding the party:

We hate to be exclusive, but sorry boys… this the party is for women bloggers only.

I can't be certain, but I think that this being a "women only" blog party, it may be somewhat focused on helping moms reach out to other moms and women to other women.

Personally, I would love to find something similar to this where it's men and women.
