Quick Question

I'm going to post some original work I wrote specifically for my website (to give agents sort of a sample of how I write, etc.) My question is this: one of them is multi-chaptered - nothing too long, but it's significant enough so that I was wondering if I should post chapter by chapter, or just post the whole thing.

(It's not finished yet, but when it is...)

Which would be better, or does it not really matter?

You're posting material to your website for agents to read? Most of the agents I've researched state they won't click on a link to read material.

Re: the chapters. Use your best judgement. If including them in one file makes it too large for quick page-loading, split it up. I have high-speed cable, but many folks are still on dial-up and big pages take too much time and effort to bother.

I'm not posting chapters of my novels that I'm querying, but chapters of a novella I wrote specifically for the site. I was told by an agent that this is a good idea, instead of posting snipets of the novel I'm trying to shop. So basically, the stuff is there if the agent wants to go and read it, and if they don't, doesn't matter.

I was thinking of putting something like, "samples of my other work can be found on my website" or something like that.

Thanks for the thoughts of splitting or not. I think you're right, the file is too big without chapters. I'll break it into chapters. Thanks so much!
