Peter Cole is an acclaimed translator, publisher, and poet. His latest book, The Dream of the Poem, features Hebrew poetry from medieval Spain. He will be reading from his book and discussing his role as the publisher and editor of Ibis Editions. Cole's translation of Taha Muhammad Ali's poem "Revenge" appeared in TWO LINES XIV just before Cole and Ali were profiled on the Jim Lehrer Newshour as part of the "Words in Conflict" series on poetry of the Middle East. The MacArthur Foundation recently named Cole one of the recipients of its 2007 "Genius" Award.
