I know this is probably wishful thinking on my part, but does anyone write barbershop songs?
I have the beginnings of a mixed quartet - male bari (SPEBSQSA) and three females; two basses and a lead, all Sweet Adelines. If it comes together over the winter it might be fun to have songs not in the regular barbershop catalogue.
And all the barbershop organizations, especially competing quartets, are always looking for new songs, for which they pay performance royalties, arranging fees, and all that good stuff.
