It has a rather Twilight Zone-esque spin to it in the end. An artist is aroused and frustrated by a piece he is creating. The piece never comes to life, but he has feelings for it and his imagination runs wild.

Check out the Erotica Readers and Writers website. I always forget the url, but if you google "erotica readers" (with the quotation marks), it'll be the first hit.
Then go to the authors' resources, where they have a call for submissions and lists of erotica publishers, with links to their authors' guidelines.
Actually, both ERWA and cleansheets.com acquire/publish shorts that I believe (don't quote me on this; check the actual guidelines) are in that word count range.
