A mute young foster girl falls for a dangerous boy, runs away with him, and must survive on the mean city streets, voiceless and, ultimately, alone.

Someone is using information from the state's Sex Offenders website to kill sex offenders in a mid-sized town and the investigator assigned to the crime has to deal with the sexual abuse in his past while working on solving the murders.

At his dead father's last request (and with the help of the ghost of Ernest Hemingway), Eric has to seek out one of his dad's old Army friends who is mentally instable and reluctant, in an attempt get both of their lives on track.

It's called Taking Lessons From Ernest.

Oh gosh, this is hard. Okay: A disabled computer science teacher pursues a relationship with the scary butch gym teacher, discovering in the process that he has to face himself before he can cope with anyone else.

Current WIP: A young surgeon is forced to confront the demons within his makeshift family-- unexpectedly assisted by a girl who may be able to thaw his foster-father's icy heart...
