My favorite college professor (and my former academic advisor) gave me a copy of his unpublished book, which is an overview of mythology. I've only barely begun reading it (with fascination), and it has only furthered my belief in the hero-myth's importance to literature.
Which, in turn, has furthered my love of life-story writing.
