Why do men hide their age on AW?

Having done a series of random samples of members on-line, it struck me as odd why so many men hide their age. This is supposed to be stereotypical female trait, or so the story goes.

So the question, why do men on AW hide their age?

Hiing is concealing something obvious. Online I think the question is why do so many people make a point of offering their age, hometown and star sign?

Most women who hide their age usually do it for vanity reasons.

Most men who hide their age usually do it because of embarressment over lack of achievement, financial and/or success reasons.

And some women could care less what people think so they don't mind saying 19.

And some men could care less what people think so they don't mind saying 22.

And some men hide their age for vanity reasons.
