Anyone heard anything on Better Day publishing? Or Dorrance Publishing? They are both subsidy publishers.

They are vanity publishers ("subsidy publisher" implies that the publisher is contributing something of value to the relationship). If you want to pay to publish (which is not a good idea for most writers, especially fiction writers, if they're interested in a career), there are much cheaper options--for instance, one of the POD self-publishing services such as iUniverse or Lulu.
