go to www.copyright.govand click on the copyright and trade mark office link... you'll find all you need to know there...

i'm currently in the us, but have spent a while in the uk now and again... on the www.imdb.com forum you'll find several aspiring screenwriters in the uk [even a working one!] who post there regularly... welcome to aw!

love and hugs, maia

Let old Bolly lay some wisdom on you Kids.

I make 600 hundred pictures a year.

Did you hear what I just said?

SIX HUNDRED!!

Now, I couldn't make six hundred pictures a year
in Hollywood any more than Hamboogul could
string together 600 words of unbroken english,
but I'll let you in on a little secret.

U.S. Copyright protects works of art for 75 years.
Do you know what the length of copyright in
Bhawanipatna is?

17 days.

SEVEN-TEEN DAYS!

I'll let you do the math.

yeah, wc!

good ol' trev, who's more or less based in the uk, despite having started out in la-la-land and working wherever they'll pay him to write a screenplay... a great example of the dedicated screenwriter, imo... while money's a must, to him it's more about writing...

Re: yeah, wc!

He has been extremely helpful in the past...which is becoming more and more rare on the poor Shop Talk Writer board...by the way, do you know of any movies that Trev's written? I'm curious!

mammamaia

no, i don't...

why not ask him?... i think he writes mostly for foreign producers for overseas markets...
