This is very awkward to ask, but I need some help. I'm working on a story about a teenage porn queen, and I need to know about what being one is like. What are the sets like? How does everything work? How many people are on the set at a time? How did you get started in it?

I know this is a sensitive topic, so maybe you could just PM me if you can help me?

Maybe you'll get replies from people with personal experience, but... if not, there are quite a few serious documentaries out there about the porn industry. I can't recall their names off-hand, but you could probably find them on Amazon.com. If nothing else, there's Boogie Nights. That seemed to hit on all the bases you mentioned, and seemed realistic enough to fool the average person.

Try Jenna Jameson's autobiography How to Make Love Like a Porn Star and/or Traci Lord's Underneath It All. And porn director Chi Chi LaRue has a book called Making It Big. Also, there are a number of porn stars with MySpace accounts--why don't you do a search over there and contact some directly?

Also there was a series called something like Porn: A Family Business on Bravo in the UK (it was a U.S. series though).

Yeah.. I've seen a couple of episodes of that show... not quite certain if the show's portrayal of the porn industry is a credible one.

I spent the day on a porn set [gay male] when I was writing a story about the business.

I do know that they're very careful about get proof of age for performers, to avoid getting into trouble. So, you "teenage" porn star would probably be 18+, if they were working in the US.

Of course, people like Traci Lords managed to circumvent that, but I think she's in the minority.
