The 11th Annual Slamdance Screenplay Competition's ongoing mission is to
discover and promote the best new writers. Past Screenplay Competition
winners include Nicole Kassell and Stephen Fetcher¹s "The Woodsman", Joshua
Marston¹s "Maria Full of Grace" (Independent Spirit Award winner, Best First
Screenplay) and Timothy Boughn's "Neo Ned". In 2005 the competition
received over 2,000 submissions and provided feedback for every single
participant. Slamdance On Stage, now in its third year, has presented the
best material on stage with the help of theater groups from across Los
Angeles. The competition also offers a $7,000 Grand Prize, Writers Bootcamp
Course certificates, Final Draft screenwriting software and subscriptions to
Script Magazine for all top ten finalists. Final submission deadline is June
