Well,

I have had ample experience giving speeches, and I thought that once I moved from North America that I wouldn't have to give another one for some time. However, the company that I am working for, in China, sprung on me today that there is going to be a press conference where members of Chinese government will be in attendance. They then informed me that I would be chosen as one of the speakers. This conference begins less than two days from now.

Here are the card that I have to play with:

1) I will have a translator.

2) I have to make the case for benefits of Chinese youth learning oral english. For this I'll be drawing from my background as a psychologist, as well as the economic benefits of learning the international trade tongue. I wish I had more time so that I could draw from the Chinese research regarding learning and language acquisition, but I simply don't.

3) I have to squeeze in a plug for series of classes that we are selling.

If you have any considerations due to culture and content, please feel free to drop a post.
