help! quote from don quixote

so i read don quixote a few years ago and am trying to recall a quote from sancho panza. having difficulty asking google to do my work instead of reading that wonderful book again. if you people fail me, i shall have to do that which i wouldn't mind doing.

i'm looking for a specific quote (and i'm not entirely sure if this is the proper forum to begin with) to sum up my novel more or less and i want to give credit to cervantes.

when sancho panza is asked why he follows around an idiot when he himself knows that don quixote is an idiot is what i'm after.

I have posted before on my love/hate relationship with the book. I'm not going to wade through it this summer. I do recall the quote but vaguely,could not pin it down. A good Sancho Panza line comes from "Man of La Mancha" It is in English but crisp and funny, not sure of the actual wording but this is close: "If he says that it is a helmet then it is best you agree."

If that doesn't do it, you could invest in a copy of Cliff's notes. That would at least give you an idea of where in the novel the quote can be found--s6

tnx. it's driving me crazy right now because right now is the time i want to use that quote. been on a nice little run and have been at a standstill for the past few days. maybe i skate by the quote since the main character is going to say it with a mouth full of hot fudge sundae, which i believe is going to be difficult, for me.

ahh, fuck it. i'm going to just put [sancho panza quote] in for the interim and wait until i finish anna karenina before i begin the book again

i don't reread books even awesome books because i have so many books i want to read. but this is pretty important for me. and i loved don quixote. in theory it should work out. i just hope i don't drop the book once i find my quote.
