The committee is collecting submissions for the contest from Monday until September 2. Winners are expected to be announced in the latter half of October. In addition to the grand prize, the competition also offers a special mention prize for 300,000 yen (US$3,000).

Due to the limited information in English, there's a lot of unanswered questions. Someone fluent in Japanese would have to translate the terms before I'd recommend anyone enter. For one thing, what languages do they accept? More importantly, what rights might you be signing away by entering?

On another forum, a person commented:
I'd like to know the fine print, couldn't find that section on the linked site.

Google Translate only does so much, but what I could extract from the comments there (at least if the translations are not completely off), feels a bit worrying, rights transferred exclusively to Canyon, no mention of royalties (would that apply only to the winners, or to all submissions?)...

Hopefully they don't pull a Kyoto Animation Awards move and declare no Grand Prize winner.
