Changing user name (screen name)

Hi all --

Just curious. Have any of you out there changed your user name (which is essentially your screen name) here on AW? I initially registered for AW a couple of years ago and didn't really think carefully about the user name. But now, I'm starting to wonder if another one would be a better fit.

I think it's possible to change the user name once on AW, so any switch would have to be carefully considered. Thoughts? Suggestions?

It's totally possible to get your user name changed - but you gotta PM me to do it, members can't do it themselves. So when you pick something out, just send me a private message.

Appreciate the quick response! Now, all I have to do is figure out a new user name (easier said than done).

I'd like to tag onto this in the hope that an Admin notices it. Over the past couple of days I've sent a message via the 'Contact Us' link at the bottom of AW's pages, and also PM'd the head honcho lady, requesting a username change.
No responses as yet, so I thought this might be more effective.

If any Admin do read this, I would really appreciate my username being changed from ScottMc to Scott K, if possible. Ta in advance!

It isn't more effective; it is more annoying.

There are two of us, and over 50K of you. I get well over 100 PMs a day from members wanting help; Mac gets even more, and has to deal with the email as well.

Multiple requests make it even more time consuming because we have to cross-check.

We'll get to you.

Scott, I'm more than a little confused at this point as to WHAT you want your user name to be -- you've told me two or three different things, in a day and a half, via messages in my PM box, the contact form, and now here...

Hopefully this fixes it -- but if not, please just PM me, okay? And I do mean JUST PM me.

Mac, I meant to PM you to thank you for changing my user name. (My apologies -- we had a kitty emergency with our 19-yr-old cat, now, sadly, no longer with us.)

Choosing a screen name can be tough sometimes. Guess thats why I just use my name. LOL
