I'm an aspiring author who recently sold xir sould to the devil joined the forum. I like to write fantasy with a bit of black comedy in it, though I still don't know if I'm the only one that finds corpses and such funny. Well, probably not. This is a big world, after all, and there are people for every single thing.
I hope you haven't noticed, but my English is not very good, yeah. Hard to improve when you're not taking classes. I am, however, stubborn, and I keep writing in English because:
a) It sounds cooler, and not many people I know will understand a word of the manuscript if they find it by accident.
b) Not many books are published in my language, at least not in my country. Therefore, if I wish to see my book published, I'll have to write it in English. Better start practicing.
I'm an avid reader of (mainstream) YA, even though it keeps disappointing me with its insta-love and sexism and whatnot. I swear, I want to slap some sense into those useless heroines. I also read a lot of Kids books (those are my favourites) and some Adult (it's like YA but with sex!!! Oh, my).
I also like cooking, video games (not a good gamer though), drawing, discussing and vivisections.
Ah, and I also like to meet people. Not for research purposes, I swear. I would love to exchange tips and reviews of our manuscripts. Emphasis on 'would', because I haven't written a thing yet. Not in English, anyway.
Feel free to ask whatever you wish, unless you're a stalker, in which case I won't need to answer anything because you'll probably already know any important information I can offer.
Regards, Tostador.
