if an editor has recieved your query/MS?? See, I don't trust the postal service here, 'cause it's horrible, but using another service would be too expensive for me. Since it takes months for editors/agents to get back at you, how do I know if they have recieved my stuff or it got lost on its way? Is it okay to ask for e-mail confirmation or something like that?

I'm not sure if there's an equivalent in Mexico, but in the US, you can use something called delivery confirmation. It's something the delivering postal employee rips off when the package is delivered -- no signature is required by the agent/publisher.

It only costs $.50, so it's as cheap as a stamped postcard and, in my opinion, much more likely to make it back to you.

Hmmm I'll check into that. Otherwise I'll end up doing the postal thing.

If you're near a large city, see if you can open an account with a mail forwarding service. [Many expats use them.] They'll give you a US PO box address. Mail is flown from Mexico to the US, and mailed from there. You usually pay based on thew weight of your packages.
