Hello, writers!

Hi, all.

Newbie here. Just published first (only?) novel, courtesy CreateSpace/Amazon. Now what? I was going to take out an ad on the Super Bowl, but my marketing budget was about $4 million short. Ideas welcome!

Email me (can you find my email looking at my profile?) or send me a message, or just reply here. I've made a very nice preview out of the PDF. (Well, nice-looking.)

Did anyone else find that "Submit New Thread" button intimidating? Is minor illiteracy OK in these posts? Well, here goes ...

Welcome aboard! I guarantee you will become less illiterate here (not that you are to begin with, but this place tends to improve folks, haha). Also, you may become slightly less sane, as well. Just fair warning. :P

I thought I'd be flooded with wisdom. I least maybe some half-baked ideas. Is everyone too busy debating the cereal comma to even think about marketing?

(I'm a veteran of the non-fiction mid lists. Publishers don't market books. They fling them against the wall. Probably because they can't afford proper shelves.)

Oh, well. Do you put brown sugar or white on your cereal commas? Skimmed or 2%? Life is so full of questions.

Oh dear. I seem to be babbling. Who was it warned me about sanity in this place? I should have listened.

Sometimes it does!

For most areas in Aw... You will need to use the "Go Advanced" button at the bottom of the 'edit post' window - AND you only have a week to do this...

Once you hit the 'go advanced' button and the page loads, you should see an 'edit title' dialog box.

Our blessed Medievalist has covered most of these really snazzy techno wonders under the FAQ menu in the blue banner above.

The plot isn't terribly fast paced... but it is truly helpful!

=)

What is the deep, hidden meaning of that picture by @kells post?

Why are the doll's eyes so much bigger than her mouth? Should I be worried?

Three little words:

Out. Of. System.

If it's just related to writing a story...
try the Story Research: Experts and Interviewees Wanted thread

and if you still can't find one, perhaps you can find solace with people like you here in this thread.
