Hi everyone, new newbie here.

I'm here to give my writing a kick up the you-know-what and hopefully find some community too. :-)

Current WIP is a detective novel set in a fantasy universe. I also sometimes write poetry and short stories - I have a fair few short stories at the 'half written first draft' stage which I really ought to finish.

I have a pretty active job (gardener) and sometimes struggle to find the energy for writing. I would eventually like to be able to earn a living by some hybrid of writing and gardening - I've been on a short garden writing course so may try submitting some articles at some point but writing stories part time and gardening part time would be ideal.

Hi and welcome to the asylum! Your comment about hybrid gardening and writing reminded me of an old Aazing Stories episode where the main character ended up with a legion of plants were typing his stories for him.
