Chosen for an Amazing Playwrights' Mentoring Project!
Yesterday I received the great news that I've been chosen for a Playwrights' Mentoring Project!

The company hasn't made an official announcement yet, but I've been chosen to receive a mentorship from the Toronto InspiraTO Festival. The mentorship includes two workshops, working directly with a dramaturg and director and having an original play performed at this year's InspiraTO Festival.

This is one of the best things to happen to me in YEARS! I've had 5 plays produced, but I've never worked with directors or a dramaturg before. The festival I've written for would lock playwrights in a castle overnight...we'd write the plays and then come the next night to the gala performances. The directors and actors would hole up in the castle for the day and rehearse. I've never had the opportunity for professional feedback before. I've only ever had audience feedback. This could be the kick in the ass I've been looking for to push my playwriting career into overdrive. I'm so excited, I can't even tell you. My first workshops and studies in playwriting! (-:
