My long term writing goal hasn't changed. I want to be able to pull in a decent income from my writing. Enough to live on. I'm not quite there yet, but between the fiction and the freelancing I'm getting closer all the time.

I just want to say thank you, AW. I really couldn't have gotten this far without you. I've had my writing critiqued, my queries shredded, my knowledge increased, my confidence built, and so, so much more.

I'm kind of worried about mentioning particular names; I'm scared I'll forget someone very important, but there are a few I have to thank personally and publicly. AW'ers soapdish, girlyswot, auburnassassin, and clara bow are people I've never met in real life, but who couldn't be more important to me. Thank you so frickin' much! And aadams, who once left a beautiful encouraging rep for me, not knowing I was on the verge of giving up - thank you, kind lady.

I'm having a little release day celebration on my blog today as I have a novella releasing. All and one are welcome to stop by. But this isn't about a particular book. This is me looking back at where I started and seeing how far I've come. And knowing that a huge part of that has been this community. So, AW. THANK YOU!

If there's cake, I'll even forgive you for not mentioning me by name.

:e2bummed:

;)

But seriously, cake or no cake, CGs on the new release and continuing good luck on your long-term goal! The bananas now beg to dance:

:hooray: I made the list!

*clears throat*

Er...

:D

It's been SO fun and inspiring these last few years watching your writing career take off, Dolores. I enjoy both your stories and your take on the writing life in general. Congratulations again on your newest book. I look forward to many, many more from you, my dear.

I'll join you in thanking AW for all of the support and education found here. If it wasn't for AW, we'd have never met.
