Hi Guys!

So happy to be a part of this community. I've been a freelance web content writer for over 2 years and now, I am hoping to be able to fulfill my dream of writing a novel (novels, actually, plural)

I need help with a lot of things, simply because I am a newbie. But more importantly, because I am a Filipina. I don't know much of the Western culture, though I have read and watched a lot of Western media. This seems to be a HUGE platform so I will definitely start reading relevant threads.

So yeah, any help you could give would be very much appreciated.

Thanks!

Thanks for this! I didn't even know there was a Share Your Work part. It would be awesome to get my work critiqued. The novel I am working on right now is still being molded, really. Both in paper and in my mind. So hopefully by the time I have a few chapters I am ready to be critiqued, I'd have 50 posts already. :D

Thanks again!

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! This is not only my first time to join a writing forum, it is also my first time to join a FORUM. So all this is really new. Looking forward to being able to contribute to this community as well. :)

Hello and welcome!!! Take advantage of the culture you grew up in and write about it! I would love to read a fantasy involving Filipino culture and folklore! :)

Look forward to seeing your work in SYW. :)

Thanks! Your comment actually created a question in my mind. Would it be better for me to write about my culture or about the Western culture? Hmm. May post a new thread about this.
