Been AWOL

Ah, I've missed the Cooler. I took a little break from my novel for a couple of reasons... First, my personal life went crazy for a few months, and second, I was finding it hard to maintain my enthusiam for the story.

I felt so guilty abandoning my baby! But the break was good. After I failed to find an agent for my third novel (shocking, truly shocking), I jumped right into this one, my fourth, without a proper grieving period. :-)

Now I'm trying to get back in the swing, which is kind of fun and terrifying at the same time. Stepping away for a few months has spotlighted the things that I need to change, and also given me the thrill of finding a few things that are actually pretty good.

Glad to be back! And looking forward to learning about what everyone is working on.

Welcome back. Good luck with the novel.

Side note: This might make more sense in the New Members forum.

Welcome back! I know what you mean about grieving for stories. I hope things are better now!
