No one can answer that, because it depends on you. I could tell you I don't write longhand because it doesn't work for me, but that means nothing when it comes to you.

With little info to go on, it kind of sounds like you're trying to pick between comfort and speed. For NaNoWriMo, speed is obviously important, but if you aren't going to be comfortable writing on a laptop, all the speed in the world won't help anything.
I'd suggest choosing whichever mode will offer the least impediment to your goal.
But that's where we come back to what they said. Only you can know what works for you.

Honestly? What is most effective is what will keep you writing every day.
One day, it may be the laptop. The next, it may be a notebook.
Sometimes, the notebook may be all you have handy. Others, the laptop is right there and more convenient.
You can use both!
