Hello all!

I gotta say that I'm kind of confused as of right now. This site is enormous and there is so much to learn. I'm really glad I found this place though.

I actually searched the internet for the best writing forums. This place came up time and again no matter how I phrased it. I browsed through some of the threads here and decided to join as I discovered the members were first class.

I'm not a published author or anything along these lines. I'm just interested in writing. I guess I became interested when I realized that all of my favorite television programs had come from someone writing down their ideas. That may sound strange but it's true.

I enjoy reading as well and most of the books I've read would fall into the horror genre. I wouldn't consider myself an avid reader but I do get my fair share of reading done when it's possible for me. I really don't have a favorite author either.

I have tried my hand at writing a few short stories and I would like to share them when I finish the monumental task of creating fifty posts. So this is post number one and I guess I'm well on my way toward that goal. I am looking forward to participating more here.

I couldn't help myself and I just had to use the obvious Rolling Stones reference in the title. I wanted to go back and check to see if anyone else has done that and I'm hoping it's not a title that's been used a thousand times before. Oh well, it's too late because I'm now going to click the submit option.

Thank you everyone for all of the warm greetings. The more I look around the site, the more I'm liking it. There really does seem to be something for everyone.

The links and the help everyone is providing are great too. Admittedly, I haven't been able to check out all of the links as thoroughly as I'd like to but in time I will. I don't know how all of you were able to keep this place a secret from me for so long!
