We in the Mystery Thriller Suspense thread really need an internal-kind-grandmother-editor* smiley...

Just if you have the time....?

If you tell me what smiley and where it is so I can download it, and make sure it's ethical to use, I can add the smiley to AW.

alleycat sir?

Do we have a source I can check?

mmcardey et al:

What do I use for the name and the code to type?

Needs to be short, one word, easy to remember

I suspected you couldn't.

Let me see what I can do. I think I can actually do better on grandma's hair (it looks a little like a knit cap on the one I posted).

Thank you so much! The thing is, we're all having terrible trouble with our Internal Editors, and lorna_w said what we need a is really nice Internal Granny to take some of the heat off with comments like "Well, isn't that just lovely! You're really the cleverest thing!" and stuff like that.

We think that would help. 'Cause it's tough when you have to keep blowing stuff up and hiding the bodies and all you get is criticism from some stupid Internal Editor...

In another thread, Mac suggested someone put a sock in the mouth of their internal editor.

A sock-in-mouth smilie might be good.

Then all we'll need is a scratch-and-smell monitor to compliment it.

Here in the southern US we have a phrase: Bless your heart. It can be said sweetly, or, more often, sarcastically.

Some drama queen goes on a ten-minute rant about something.

"Well, bless your heart."

"Well, bless your heart."

And if you want there to be no question that you are being sarcastic you say: 'well, bless your little heart'.

We say that where I'm from! And for real sarcasm it's 'Aaaaah, bless your heart.'

Often shortened to 'bless'.

Please comment

Here are a couple of "grandma smiley" options. Opinions welcome.

(brighter and smaller)

I kept these fairly simple. I did a couple of others that were nicer looking, but I think it would be better to use a simple version.

It would be fairly easy to change the color (brighter?) if that's would be preferred.

I second lorna - she'll need to be bright. She's got a lot of comforting to do....

Thank you so much for these, you clever Alleycat!

We could have comforting grandma, and . . . disappointed grandma (displeased grandma would be hurt to learn that one of her children is doing a forty-page prologue).

Bright it is then.

over in MTS, imo, we don't need another disappointed internal editor. MTS brains seems to be so full of those, they are falling out y'all's ears. You need someone nice in there. Demanding/negative/disappointed, I think you already have covered.

Great smilies, Alleycat. Another vote for the 'bright' Grandma.
