Hi,

I'm writing a book that is a collection of interviews in Q&A format,
with one interview per chapter.

So far, the longest chapter is 25 pages, and the shortest is 12 pages.
Is it unacceptable to have such a variation in chapter lengths?

Thanks!

Good question. I don't know. I know when I'm reading that a variety in chapter length doesn't bother me. I'd think with interviews it would be more of a given anyway. Some subjects talk a lot; some not so much.

As long as its great interview, why stop? Use the quality of the content to guide you in length.

I've read books with far greater variety in chapter length (Bentley Little has done some one page chapters followed by thirty page chapters). Whatever feels right is right.
