Hi this doll is my first made doll. Next is a teddy about 50 centimeters wide. :D Let me know what you think. plus the kitty is grey not blue, I change the camera's color to make it stand out a bit more.

That kitty is so cute!

I do amigurumi dolls. Like this one that I made for my friend for Christmas. I also like to buy china-head dolls at second hand stores and sew new clothes for them. Like this.

That's super cute. :) I made a pair of waldorf dolls for my twins for their second Christmas. It was a LOT of work and probably not something I'd do again, unless heaven forbid I had another baby. (nothing wrong with babies, but my hands are FULL now)

Does anyone have, or know where to find, cloth doll patterns?

I'd like to make one of these; http://i4.ytimg.com/vi/3EtVP1f99i0/hqdefault.jpg

...as my husband is a big Fable fan and thinks the hero dollies are awesome.

I think I've more or less got it figured out, but I've never actually made dolls before, and while I have made my own patterns before, if I can find one already out there it would save me a lot of time and headache.

I've made Waldorf dolls for my children (I can't add photos to my post) and I've recently been making stuffed animals for them.

I've bought patterns from http://dollmakersjourney.com/ , and a wide range of styles and designers. Also, here http://clothdollpatterns.com/ , huge range of stuff.

If you're just starting out, try your local library, they've usually got books on toy or doll making, or at least a few simple patterns as part of a general sewing book.

Judging by the illustration, you'd want a simple body, and just build most of the costumes into the body parts.

Thanks for the links. And yeah, that's about right. I've looked online, and the doll patterns I've found so far just don't fit what I'm looking for. But I'll give your links a look and perhaps I'll have better luck there.

I love Judi Ward's doll patterns myself. She's easy to find by googling her name.

I just finished a doll from a slightly altered pattern of her's last night. Here's Hush, a singing (pressure activated voice box in her tummy), fully jointed cloth doll.

Edit: Ack, picture's pretty large and won't shrink, so here's a link in order to spare anyone with a slow connection.
