Hi; just had to communicate this somewhere! I received the following response to a perfectly good query:

"Very few queries have a chance to become articles. Yours, unfortunately, isn't one of them."

I've rec'd much nicer responses from much larger magazines. It makes one want to go out and write a best-seller!!!
