For what it's worth, the owner of Techstreet appears to be Thomson, a huge publishing empire. "Mr. Maryn" is gainfully employed by a Thomson corporation. He tells me, in a conversation in loud voices across the hallway, that TechStreet produces widely-respected and distributed Industry Standards publications. His impression is that their writers are first experts in the given industry, secondarily writers.
