Title: Alpha, Part One - Children of the Fallen
Genre: Fantasy leaning toward the mature side - includes graphic language, sex and violence
Summary: The war is lost. The resistance demolished. The world enslaved. But can the children of the fallen truly forgive and forget? For Rasia, neither is an option. She runs from a past that shadows her, but when finally cornered and forced to confront her nightmares, her actions will force a series of events that will topple an empire. This story is about choices and decisions, about mistakes and consequences, about living with the past and seeking a better future. Who knew one lie could change the world?
I am looking for a beta reader for my fantasy manuscript at 121,000 words. Before you freak out about the word count I am completely willing to send the first chapters so you can test the waters before taking on the project. I have re-read through this WIP at least ten times and am about ready to gouge my eyes out. I really need a fresh set of eyes to look at it. I am looking for overall comments, not line-by-line edits or proofreading unless you really want to work that way. I am seeking opinions about the plot, characters, direction of the story, and general reactions as you read through. Harsh criticisms welcomed.
I am also willing to do a manuscript swap. It can be of any length. I don’t mind being a beta for any genre but my strengths lie in fantasy.
