I'm trying to post a query in the 'Query Letter Hell' forum, and I've wound up in 'Can't Even Get In There Hell'. Can someone help me. The message just keeps saying I don't have authorisation. I have posted queries before under this username. Were they that bad?

You need 50 posts on AW before your can post in SYW.

You're at 34 as of right now.

If you can't get in all, try clearing your cookies (and I don't mean throw up :)).

Yes, you have posted in QLH before. This must have been before the "50 posts" rule was put in to place.

Are you sure you're using the right password? Vista, in lowercase.

Believe me, I'm almost at the point of throwing up. I logged out and it said it had cleared the cookies, and I logged back in with the same result. The thing I don't understand is that I've posted queries for critique before. How could I have done that without enough posts?

Are you allowing all cookies from AW in your browser settings?

It must have been before the rule was instituted, but it seems like a Mod is on the scene now, and trying to help...

You guys are fantastic, thank you. I'm using Internet Explorer but I could log in again with Chrome if that makes it easier.

Shall I log out and log back on with Chrome?
Just let us work with you. This was a problem that begin a few months ago. Several people with IE had problems at that time. You just haven't gone through the steps to fix the problem yet.

IE keeps two sets of "website information"--one "regular" and one for "favorites". Some people were cleaning out their cookies and cache, but because AW was on their Favorites toolbar all the information that needed to be cleaned out wasn't until someone either removed AW from the Favorites, or checked the right box when they were cleaning out their cookies and cache.

Thanks so much for your help. I've logged back on with Google Chrome and got the same results. What do I do now? I have only 38 posts. Is that the problem? Or do I need to clear my cache?

The "50 posts" rule isn't going to matter to you soon. You're less than ten posts away.

If you were still using IE, there are some other things we could check. I'm surprised you still can't get in if you've cleared your cookies and are using Chrome.

And you are using the password: vista (lowercase)?

Okay, just to be a pain in the proverbial, I went back to IE and logged back on. I'm in the process of deleting my temp internet files. From the time it's taking I suspect my laptop will be at least 1kg lighter.
