I don't really want to post this thread but I have to.
My problem is that I still cannot access the Share Your Work forum from the Absolute Write Water Cooler main forum, nor can I see my moved threads or access them via kind AW members' links to them.
The problems are becoming so convoluted it's unbelievable.
Let me try and break it down concisely.

1. When I get prompted for the SYW password, which I know is vista, I type it in and press the Enter key.
2. It then redirects me to the vBulletin page that says I'm not logged in, so I log in in the fields on the vBulletin page and,
3. it redirects back to the SYW password prompt page.
4. Rinse and repeat and rinse and repeat...
Additional:
I have tried both a) Having Firefox remember the SYW password, and b) NOT having Firefox remember it. Neither option makes any difference.
After attempting to access SYW unsuccessfully, and then going back to the main forum page and scrolling down to the AW Writing Lab area, then Share Your Work has become invisible to me and Poetry Lab is the topmost sub-forum.

I have 2 threads in Query Letter Hell. I can access them via my Profile in my Statistics tab in the 'threads started by' link. I don't even get prompted for the vista password before accessing them for the first time after logging in to the AW site.

But:

I have another thread which one of the mods (it seems) relocated to the Mainstream/Contemporary SYW sub-forum. The thread doesn't show up in my Statistics tab in the 'threads started by' link, even though my other SYW threads do show up.
Also, I have links in my signature for both the 2nd draft of my synopsis and the relocated thread (I was able to access it for a short while earlier before the problems accumulated), but neither link works for me. Both links open a new tab which is the vBulletin 'you are not logged in' page.

I would really appreciate some advice here. And I would like to thank the people who have already tried to help with the initial problem in my earlier thread. I have created this new thread purely because the original thread entitled 'Was my post deleted or...?' is clearly not the case, and the problems have accumulated into an obvious tech issue.

Edit: I have also deleted cookies, and tried both keeping the cookies until they expire and deleting cookies when Firefox closes. Makes no difference either way.

This can be closed. Crisis over. After restarting Firefox and logging back in here, I can finally see my missing thread, and everything else is working too. I think it may be that I didn't have 'accept third party cookies' ticked in Firefox > Tools > Options > Privacy. It is now, and everything's fine. Sorry for wasting your valuable browsing time.

Additional: I feel like a bit of a numpty now.

No worries, if someone else has this same problem in future, they might see this thread and know what to do!

Glad the problem's over -- that's all that matters.

Behind you!
I'm with Derek--no need to feel silly, and this could help some future someone, right?

FWIW, I had something similar happen long ago when I reformatted my hard drive. At the time, it was the least of my worries. (I'd picked up a real bad virus my antivirus software could not eradicate.) But it was an annoyance for quite some time.

Maryn, glad it had a happy ending

It was closing/quitting the browser that did the trick. It forces the cookies to be updated.

I'd be cautious about having third party cookies ticked; AW does NOT use third party cookies. Occasionally some banks or corporate sites use third party cookies for double-secret-security, but you can exempt them from the no third party cookie on a case by case basis.
