Oh man, so many forums. I'm not sure how I got here, I swear I was just reading about pirates... 
Anyway, hello. I'm Lauren, and I hate introductions or describing myself in general. Hmm, that's not very promising. I do love writing (I bet you could not see that coming). I'm 22, and am totally blind. I use a screenreader to navigate the internet (everyone always likes to know how I type, so though that may seem obvious, I just say it preemptively on forums).
I'm pretty sure I unknowingly started writing fan fiction in the second grade, when I wrote a sequel to some bizarre book about aliens and breakfast serial. I don't think I've written science fiction since. Actually, I don't think that alien could really be classified as sci-fi to begin with.
I second guess myself a lot when it comes to original work, so I fall back into the habit of playing with other people's characters. That's half the reason I joined this forum. I don't have many friends who also write, so I'm anxious to get to know fellow people to encourage/critique/send random youtube videos.
