My Skull, the Garage is a humorous poem.

I donated it to Chizine, the webzine that published my second poem--What the Gargoyle Does Not Speak. They asked for their "alumni" to contribute something to a super-issue, and turned down my piece at first (for rhyming, which it does) but then surprised me with changing their mind.

Go forth and read! There's other fun stuff...and some dark stuff, too. It's fantasy and science-fiction themed, as a magazine, but the poems tend to be very close to a reality we understand, even if framed by fairy tales or space adventure...

I really liked both of these. The gargoyle one is an especially well-chosen and well-developed subject. I wish I had thought of it!

Thanks!

Gargoyle is one of those pieces that just developed in a single moment from no inspiration in particular--I had some help revising it from a more formal piece, by the editor herself, and I'm really excited about how it turned out. The other one is...what it is. ;)

Thanks for taking the time to check them out!
