Looking for a beta or two to look at a piece I have started. It is 4,131 words, fantasy piece. It is still in it's very beginning and I just need to know if I am starting out with things to slowly...

I do have a small child in the beginning of the story, the MC's son, young, between 3 and 5. I don't have children of my own, so if I could get a reader or two that has kids/experience with them, that would rock.
